Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR)

An Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is a complete set of financial statements presented in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and audited in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards by a firm of licensed certified public accountants. Each year, all special districts in Arizona that have an annual budget in excess of $1,000,000 are required by law to publish a financial statement within 240 days of the close of the fiscal year.
