The Fire Prevention and Life Safety Division conducts fire investigations utilizing the scientific method to determine the origin and cause of fires in a joint effort within the Districts the Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District, Pinetop Fire District, and the Taylor/Snowflake Fire Department. Members of this division also assist other departments through mutual aid agreements and partner with the pertinent local police departments, Navajo County Sheriff’s Department, and the Navajo County Attorney’s Office.. These fires are diligently investigated and prosecuted. You can assist us by reporting arson activity to the Fire Marshal’s Office at 928-537-5100.

Fire reports may be requested through the Fire Prevention and Life Safety Division by calling 928-537-5100. A Public Records Request Form must be filled out prior to obtaining the report. Applicable fees may apply.
