Fire Prevention Application

October is Fire Prevention month. All requests for fire education must be submitted no later than August 31st, please complete the fire prevention application. Follow the directions at the bottom of the application to submit. For any fire prevention needs outside the month of October, an application will need to be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

Through fire prevention, we educate our community on how to prevent fires, what to do in case of a fire, what dangers to look for, and how to protect yourself and your family.

We provide lessons to children and adults on:

  • Stop, drop, and roll,
  • EDITH (exit drills in the home),
  • Truck tours explaining the equipment we use to familiarize customers with our PPE (personnel protective equipment),
  • Smoke alarms, their placements, how they work, and their maintenance,
  • Station tours familiarizing those living in the fire district boundaries and beyond with our Firefighters, fire stations, common duties, and services we provide,
  • Answer and questions the children and adults may have,
  • Handouts for the children to practice the skills they learned on their visit,
  • Handouts for parents to help safely fire wise their home,

The Fire Department has taught fire prevention at:

  • Our fire stations
  • Boy Scout meetings
  • Businesses
  • Church events
  • Our customers homes
  • Public Schools
